Weekend in Visuals
2 January '14
Starting 2014 right by knowing that I had won myself a $100 Watsons gift card *HYPERVENTILATE*
AND on the same day, I officially declared that I am no longer unemployed *HYPERVENTILATE*
- Brb, deleting all the job search apps and bookmarks -
So I went for my fifth interview yesterday and I got accepted on the spot. Upon hearing the phase 'welcome on board', I died a little inside. Everything happened too fast from an introduction to job requirements to accepting me and then a mini tour of the office. Everything is so surreal.
So before getting accepted in this job, I went for 4 interviews and I've learnt a lot through these interviews.
Got to thank some of the interviewers for helping me to realise what I really want and what I am actually looking for. After every interview session, I will tell myself to reconsider and think carefully is it what I want regardless of how attractive and interesting the job scope and job benefits are cause the accessibility, company's environment and people plays a great part. There were like offices when I first stepped in, I just want to get out immediately. Going for interviews are a gain of experience instead of a waste of time, it gives me a clearer perspective of what I should pursue.
And yes, I think I have found what I am looking for. I am going to work in a company which I am really interested in (thankful that I send in my application at the right time cause the company did not post any recruitment ads and I was trying my luck), I am going to undertake job responsibilities that is under my forte, the office is near where I am staying and I love the company's culture and environment. Whenever you found something right, you will get the 'yes, this is it!' feeling and gotcha! I got the super positive feeling the moment I stepped into the office! My 'unemployed' status will remain with me for another 2 days and I will be embarking on a new journey.
Second day of 2014 and I had achieved one of my 2014 resolutions. 2014 is gna be kickass!

My job search journeyAfter my last paper, I began to look for jobs. Browsing through all the recruitment pages almost everyday, sending in resume, working on my freelance assignments and advertorials for 1.5 months. Sad to bid goodbye to such carefree lifestyle but in the meantime I am really looking forward to work.

2Ö14 Resolutions
New Year's Cliche Resolutions
1. A better year ahead for my family, friends and myself.
2. A desirable employment opportunity that I always wished to work for. Now I truly understand that it is really hard to find a job.
3. At least one voluntary work.
4. Learn to say 'no' at appropriate times. Cos' it is tiring to always accommodate.
12 more hours .....
#18: Road Trip Must-Haves
Last day of work today and currently I'm using the transit internet kiosk to blog. Right now I have less than 15 mins for this post as there's a limit to the usage of the internet before I get disconnected.
Work was easy but tiring due to the long working hours like yesterday, worked from 10am to 11pm.
This is gna be a wordy post as I do not have access to any of my devices to upload any photos.
So back to challenge #18: Road Trip Must-Haves - I supposed road trip refers to car rides which take long hours.
I haven't been on any road trips, the longest ride I've taken will be to Genting when I was a primary school kid.
And it's not possible to have a road trip within Singapore? The country is so small that travelling from an end to another end will take at most an hour of so?
But imagine I have a 2 hours road trip, my top 3 must-haves item will be
1. Phone
2. iPod
3. Water
To me these 3 items are essential.
Phone and iPod will keep me entertain; music, movies, social networking sites. And water is important to keep me hydrated. Even if I'm hungry, I believe a bottle of water will keep me bloated for awhile.
And other items which I might bring along will be candies, chocolates, chips and maybe a little pillow for me to snuggle.
The weather is pretty good today, the haze has cleared up and I can finally see the blue skies and clouds. Our bright and sunny island is no longer gloomy!
#15: On My Shopping List
I don't have a shopping list right now, I've got what I need recently.
Did grocery shopping few days back and bought whatever I want, which are chips and more chips, haven't been touching chips after chinese new year. Will devour a packet tomorrow.
And last week I got a pair of sandals to replace my snapped sandals.
So I've nothing which I really need to buy.
Maybe I need more clothes, clothes and clothes, getting sick of my wardrobe.
Wna revamp my wardrobe (I've said this for umpteen times).
But whenever I'm packing, there are always these few pieces which I seldom wear but I just can't bear to give away. There're also pieces which I've bought and not wear it, impulse buys.
My wardrobe is really exploding, I've hung 2-3 pieces of clothing on a hanger. And I'm like using 2 rooms' wardrobes.
Anyhow, girls can't get enough of clothes!
This is a wordy wordy wordy post, don't have any pictures except for these 2 which I've shared on Instagram.
Soup Spoon for dinner yesterday. Wanted to get my Pandora charms yesterday but whatever I want was oos.
#13: DIYs I want to try
I've a bucket list on the DIYs that I want to try, but for this post I'll only focus on DIYs that I want to try on my nails. I love to have pretty and yummy looking nails and friends around me should know that I'll tend to change my nails' colors weekly? Or every fortnightly? This habit started when I was in 17? I don't really want to splurge unnecessarily on going to the nail palour to have my nail fix. Thus, from then on, I've been constantly searching for DIY nail art tutorials whenever I'm free. I trim, buff, and shape my nails my own. I can spend the whole afternoon doing my nails and me being me, I would always remove everything and repaint my nails again if I find the color ugly.
I've a crazy collection of nail polishes, I need 3 boxes to keep it.
These are part of it, I've a few bottles in mom's room and quite some time back my sis dropped 2 boxes on the floor and broke a few bottles.
Browsed through my albums and found these photos, when I was crazy over glittery nails. And my favorite was this OPI Katy Perry Collection, Candy Floss.
Don't get why I kept my nails so long, kinda gross looking at them now.
OPI Black Shatter
Here are the real DIY nails that I did. I've tried French Manicure, Polka Dots, Leopard Prints, Gradient, Ombre and here are some of the photos that I manage to find.
My kinda failed ombre nails (mint green x white). Spent a few hours on this failed creation.
I did this while I was in Bangkok last year, kudos to the manicurist who manage to draw the fine strokes. I wish I had half of her skills.
I'm eager to try marbling and galaxy nails. I had attempted marbling and galaxy nails more than once but I never fail to make a mess out of it. All tutorials look easy but it was really tedious.
These nails really looked yummy.
And this, Watercolor french tips.

Yesterday
Finally got to try Shiok Maki! It was really damn shiok. The combination of salmon, ebi, seaweed, roe and the sauce was surprisingly good. Guess I would never eat any other maki anymore. Would love to try the unagi version the next time, but I'm not really a fan of unagi. Thinking about it makes me drool. But after yesterday's meal make me feel like I've gain back the pounds I've shed during the exam period.
And also, I managed to get my favorite Salted Caramel ice-cream from the Hokkaido ice-cream palour. I was craving it since few months back and have been so whiny about not having it. Was so happy yesterday. Craving for more now.
Have a good weekend ahead yall! x
#11: Date Night Ideas
Hugging a bag of chips and be a couch potato, lying on the grass and stare at the sky, going for a spin, having a sinful supper, catching a late night movie ....
Would prolly do anything if I've a date. But I'm a really lazy person and would prefer to stay at home.
Like now, the best time of the day, I could just snuggle under the sheets, listening to my favorite songs, drafting out this post and catching some dramas/movies.
But now, there's this little burden that I'm carrying whereby I can't really relax and enjoy myself to the fullest.
I've been saying this for the xth times and pardon me for saying it the last time;
I can't wait for 6th May!
Every exam period is sucking me dry and driving me crazy. The last time I stepped out of the house was on last Saturday, my terribly mundane life due to exams. How much I missed my carefree life.
The next time when I blog will be the day when I declare liberation.
And I need like more interesting content for this space. Thou I'm blogging diligently every now and then but every post seemed so boring, boring content without pictures, boring posts with all my complaints.
Anyway on a brighter note, scored my second high distinction for the semester for the group project.
Crossing my fingers for the results of our last project x

#9: Favorite Website
#8: In My Bag
#7: Blog Goals
Penning down my thought at 23.23 before hitting the sack.
One of the promises I made to myself when I decided to return to blogging is to constantly blog about my life, feelings, thoughts and whatever I want to so that in the future when I look back to these posts, I can reminisce the memories, laugh at myself or even learn something from what I've done.
And I really want to show my future hubby and kids like what I've done.
So yup, my blog goal is to keep blogging till old?
I hope after the 30 days of challenge I will still have the motivation to blog, thoughts of having to rack my brains for inspirations on what to blog about.
Sidetrack a little, something to rejoice about, today is submission of the final project. But having my first paper in like less 2 weeks time? Nothing to be happy now.
So for the time-being due to the upcoming exams, I'll probably blog like every fortnightly instead?
#6: Least Favorite Words
I thought I was halfway through the 30-days challenge, but I'm only at my number 6 challenge.
My least favorite words now are: EXAM, STUDY, LECTURE NOTES, MARKETING-RESEARCH, INTERNATIONAL-BUSINESS, ETHICS-GOVERNANCE, ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
Any word that is related to exams that I'm studying are my least favorite words currently.
I don't really have any words that I dislike. If I do, it will the way how a person say that word.
Like, 'bo jio', I'm fine with the word, but if someone keep repeating that word I'll get really irritated.
FOR INSTANCE:
ABC: Where did you go yesterday?
Me: Town
ABC: BO JIO!!!!
ABC: So you go town for what?
Me: Lunch
ABC: BO JIO!!!!!!!!!
ABC: Then where are you going later?
Me: Shopping
ABC: BO JIOOOOOOO!!!!!
Me: *WTFBBQKFCMACBKLJS I WNA GIVE YOU ONE BIG FAT TIGHT SLAP*

'YOLO' is also another term which people have been using it so excessively, like when they're doing stupid things. Everything also wna YOLO, even go to toilet also wna YOLO.
THIS!
Another word is 'oi', I do use 'oi' often but in a joking manner, I hate people to use it in a rude way, especially if that person is asking for a favour. Like, 'Oi!! Help me take my bag.' Seriously, that's really rude, I mean like everyone has a name, if you want to ask for a favour do it nicely. If that sentence was used on me I rather the person not addressing me, 'Help me take my bag' will do.
**These are just my opinions, not referring to anyone**
Nowadays, I can't seem to find the drive to mug like how I did for the previous semester.
Still having that nonchalant attitude, where is the productive me?
Exactly one more month to the final paper......
Feeling really tired today, shall catch the latest episode of Vampire Diaries before heading to bed.
G'night monsters.
#3: I'm Looking Forward To ......
BLOGGING ABOUT MY TWENTY-FIRST !
*WARNING: 80% of this bog post is about food, food, food and more food*
Have been wanting to blog about my twenty-first and here's my chance to incorporate with my day 3 mission.
My birthday was about a month back and it was the legendary twenty first birthday.
Like any other birthdays I just want it to be an affair with my closed ones, don't wna make a big hoo-hah out of it. My dad even suggested to hire an event planner for it but I would rather he give me the money as my birthday present instead. Don't want my old man to spend on my birthday like how he used to when I was a kid.
Although I don't have any extravagant celebration nevertheless I had a great birthday.
As usual, my birthday celebration kicked off by having an advanced dinner treat from the family.
Then managed to meet the busy army bff for a scrumptious buffet. And being very secretive, he loves bringing me to walk in circles before going to the actual venue (this happens every year without fail).
This year, we walked from MBS to Marina Mandarin and had our dinner at AquaMarine.
So here's the spread we had. My favorite was the snow crab legs, think I had like a dozen? Being a true seafood lover, I love how fresh the seafood was.
#2: Things You Are Good At
NOTHING?
I seriously couldn't think of anything that I'm good at.
I think I'm good at like nonsensical stuffs such as eating, sleeping, watching tv, wasting my time and procrastinating.
How about changing the title to 'Things You Are Bad At' and I reckoned I can think of 101 things that I'm bad at.
I suck at cooking, baking, drawing, sports, driving, singing, dancing, drinking and the list goes on.
Since the day I was born I don't have any skills that is commendable.
My parents used to tell me that when I was a baby, I was incredibly good at crying.
Other than sleeping, 90% of my time was spent crying, such a crybaby I know.
I don't cry as much as I used to but now I guess I'm kinda good at whining. I can whine about anything and everything.
From primary school onwards there isn't any subject that I'm particularly good at, all my results were average.
As for CCA, I was in the computer club during primary school and I can't remember why I signed up for Chinese Orchestra when I was primary 5. I learned Gu Zheng for like a year and decided to withdraw partly because I couldn't juggle between 2 CCAs and school. Also, I don't know why the teacher decided to change the chords which really confused everyone and I was angry at that time cause I felt like whatever I've learnt went down the drain. Maybe that's one of the skill I acquire and during that period I participated in SYF and achieved bronze. Then I joined librarian club during secondary school days. And the skills that I've learnt? How to scan the book, use the system and arranging books?
I wanted to learn piano at a point of time when I was young, my dad bought me the electronic keyboard and I really did sign up at Yamaha but the classes were all full and the in-charge did not get back to me after and eventually I just forget about it.
I admit I amlazy, I may be interested in learning some new stuffs but my enthusiasm only last for awhile, that is why I don't really like to pick up new skills. But currently I'm really interested in picking up cooking and baking. And I'll do so one day... Maybe 5 years later? ......

Day 1: A Few Things About Yourself
Felicia, female, single, piscean, just turned 21 one month back.
Living with my father, mother and sister.
Currently pursing a degree at SIM-RMIT, Business (Management), and I'll be graduating next year?
How cliche!
I have nothing special to share about myself. Like many other people, I love to shop, love pretty things, love to eat (yea and I eat almost everything from seafood to pig's organs), love to sleep.
I'm gna post 10 random facts about me:
1. I'm single eye-lid, and I always blame my dad for it cause I really hate my eyes.
2. I was born on 28 February, one day before 29 February and its a leap year on the year I was born.
3. I've really small feet, inherited from my mom, Size 35. I can squeeze into the largest size for kid's footwear. I bought my Havaianas in kids size.
4. I don't know how to swim but I know how to float.
5. I've no idea how to cycle too, I can make do with those 4 wheels bicycle.
6. Like girls having their period, every month there will be a few days where I will sneeze like mad. I can sneeze non-stop from morning to night.
7. I tend to make a lot of noises when I'm playing games, especially Candy Crush for now. I can't stop making noises when I make a wrong move.
8. I have a license and a car, but I don't usually use it. If I do, I'll just drive around the east side. Like Tampines, Pasir Ris, Bedok? But the furthest I've went was Clementi and Yishun, and I even braved the heavy traffic at town for a few times. Really have no guts to explore the streets of Singapore unless I've someone who can guide me.
9. I love to make loved ones happy. At times I even placed them before myself, as stupid as it sounds, I'll be contented to see a smile on their faces.
10. I LOVE MY FAMILY AND MY CLOSE FRIENDS WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL.

Mhmmmmm ....
Revamped this space a little if you could notice.
Always wanted to blog so badly about my life, but I lose the motivation to do so. Wonder how I can do it in the past. I really love to read blogs and am hoping that I can blog as often so in the future I can look back at all the silly things that I've done.
I came across this 30 days challenge list to keep myself motivated and this space a little less mundane.
