Advertorial
Neutrogena has come a very long way from where they started. From skincare to body care products, Neutrogena is undoubtedly everyone's drugstore fave.
Neutrogena's two latest additions to the Deep Clean range of cleansers, Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil are scientifically proven to not only remove 100% of makeup, even the most stubborn waterproof ones, take away 99% of dirt and impurities, and also nourish the skin while cleansing.
The hydrating variant, Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil, contains cucumber extract that helps hydrate skin and keep it soft. Cucumis sativus (cucumber juice) naturally has high water content (more than 95%) and natural sugars that are potent humectants, making it the choice naturally-derived moisturising agent.
The brightening variant, Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil, contains mulberry extract, which is known to contain ascorbic acid and niacin. Ascorbic acid, commonly known as Vitamin C, helps inhibit tyrosinase, a naturally occurring enzyme that catalyses production of pigment. Niacin (Vitamin B), is known to inhibit melanin transfer. Together, these help to reveal new skin cells and brighten the complexion.
What impresses me is that the Deep Clean Cleansing Oils can accomplish three tasks in one gentle, non-irritating step! The science behind the efficacy of Deep Clean Cleansing Oil is as uncomplicated as the product itself.
Both the Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil are formulated with a non-comedogenic micro-emulsion that consists of water, oil and surfactants, which explains how it transforms into soft cleaning milk with a touch of water!
What this means is the post-use sensation is one of a superior deep clean feel that leaves skin soft and supple. When it comes to selecting a cleansing oil, it is imperative - and intuitive - to get one that is formulated to keep pores impurity-free. The mineral-oil free formulation of Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil rinses cleaner and does not strip the skin entirely of its natural oils.
The texture of both cleansing oil is the same, it feels relatively light on the skin.
I’ll be using Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil to remove the makeup on the left side of my face and Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil on my right.
I started off with dry hands and dry face. You can use it with wet hands if you would like to. Either way works!
On the left side of my face, my blemishes are surfacing. In other words, the cleansing oil dissolved the foundation and concealer.
Now, my waterproof eyeliner is gone on my right eye.
All the makeup are transferred from my face to my hand.
Sparkling clean!
Honestly speaking there wasn't much difference between the hydrating and the brightening variant. Both cleansers really cleanse well! This dermatologist tested product, gently sweeps away makeup, dirt and oil for clear, fresh skin without clogging pores and leaving any greasy residue behind! Housed in a pump bottle, making it convenient to use, this truly gentle formula has a lightweight, water-like texture, that effectively and cleanly removes my full face makeup and long-wearing formulas without stripping skin entirely of its natural oil. Hence, my skin doesn't feel dry or tight after cleansing. What’s better is that after wetting my hands, the cleansing oil transforms into cleansing milk which really saves me a lot of time!
Forget harsh tugging and pulling! Strikingly clear and radiant skin can be achieved with the most gentle and convenient way with Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil.
Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil are retailing at $29.90 each at Guardian and Watsons stores.
