Savvato

Saveur for yesterday's lunch. My second time there. A place which served affordable french cuisine. But a pity that the items on the menu are limited, especially the mains.
Duck confit, chef's recommendation. Love the homemade mashed potato!

Saveur's signature pasta. Served with generous amount of sakura ebi and minced meat sauce. Its like a western version of minced meat noodles. My second time having it and felt that it somehow tasted quite different from the previous time I had, kind of dry.

I had beef short rib braised in red wine for my main. It looked quite different from the previous time when Wenjun ordered it (photo below). The potato au gratin was not as good but the beef was still as tender and flavourful.

Duck Rillette, its a pretty cool entrée. The yellow thing on the left is made of duck and the texture and taste somewhat resembles tuna spread. And akin to tuna spread, it is suppose to be spread evenly on the cracker before savoring it.

Ming's Pan-seared sea bass. I love the saute potato! The Saveur's chefs have their way of handling the potatoes. All their potatoes are super good.

Pistachio Panna Cotta, a dessert that is worth trying, had it the previous time when I was there.
"Pistachio-flavoured cooked cream, topped with ground and caramelised pistachio"

Headed over to Ah Chew for more desserts!
Finally caught Despicable Me 2. Have been dying to watch it since the release of the 'Banana Song'.

How can anyone not love the minions and Agnes.

Can't stop laughing!
