Advertorial

Still racking your brains on what to get for your mom, sisters, girlfriends or even a gift for yourself this coming Christmas and sick of those conventional gifts? Fret not, I've a great gift idea for this festive season.

It's Itoh Collagen Powder

Yes, COLLAGEN, the trending term in the beauty industry.

My family had came across the TV advertisement and we were like 'wow collagen powder, buy!', even my dad is aware of what is collagen.

Endorsed by Taiwan famous make-up guru, Kevin.

If you're new to this word, here's a basic introduction:

What is collagen?

Collagen is a major structural protein in the skin. It plays a key role in providing the structural scaffolding for cells, tissues, and organs. If it weren't for collagen, the body would literally fall apart. Collagen also gives the skin its strength and durability and is responsible for the smooth, plump appearance of young, healthy skin.Collagen makes up 75 percent of our skin; thus, the smooth, plump appearance of young, healthy skin is due in large part to the presence of healthy collagen levels.(Source: http://www.nuskin.com/en_ZA/corporate/company/science/skin_care_science/collagen.html)

In short, it is really really important to maintain the collagen level in our body to have a radiant, firm, wrinkle-free and elastic skin.

And it is good to start taking good care of your skin early.

Basically, ITOH Collagen Powder is a low molecular collagen powder which is COLORLESS, TASTELESS, FAT-FREE and SUGAR FREE. Low molecular powder enhances the absorption of collagen to capture all the benefits that collagen contributes.

1 sachet of powder contains 3000mg of collagen which is the amount of collagen that our body need per day.

How to consume the collagen powder?
You can actually dissolve the powder into any beverages from plain water, tea, coffee to soup!

1. Plain water
There is actually a faint smell.

For my first sachet, I tried it with warm plain water. According to the claims of tasteless and colorless, it is not totally tasteless and colorless when I tried it with water. From the above pictures, the water actually turned milky and there is a very mild taste (like milk?). However, if you add more water, the milky color will turned lighter and the taste will be milder.

2. Tea
Then I tried with Lipton Tea. The powder actually turned the tea from a clear maroon color to a brown liquid. The taste of the powder is even milder compared to when I tried it with water.

3. Milk Tea
No changes in the color and for milk tea, the taste of the powder is completely covered by the tea.

When ton consumer the collagen powder?
The powder can be taken anytime throughout the day, one sachet daily.

Who is it suitable for?
The product can be taken by females and males with any skin types. However, it is non-halal.

The collagen powder comes in sachets which is really convenient for me to carry it around and I can have it at anytime and anywhere. The powder is easier to dissolve in warm/hot beverages compared to room temperature or cold beverage. Previously, I had mentioned that there is a mild taste in certain beverages, however the taste is bearable for me, it's not awful. If you cannot accept the taste, you can add the powder into beverages with a strong taste such as milo, coffee, milk tea etc. As a female, I know how important collagen is to me, ITOH collagen powder will be something that I want to consume on a long term basis.

Where an I purchase the collagen powder and how much does it cost?
ITOH Collagen powder is available at Guardian outlets and it cost $49.90/box (14 sachets).
